About Zoran

Zoran Markovski is a resident of the Beaches-East York community. He and his wife moved to the area almost 5 year ago and started a family. Zoran, his wife, and lovely daughter have chosen to make a life here – the parks, the community, and access to cultural diversity have made this a natural place to call home. Zoran dedicates a large amount of his free time to extracurricular events. He volunteers for the local, annual community children’s day and helps out with events as well as running soccer clinics for kids. He is a player coach for a competitive Ontario Soccer League team and has acted as President of a Recreational Community Softball league.

Zoran earned his bachelor’s of science degree in Information Technology Management from Drexel University in Philadelphia, and has worked in the Information Technology field in the Greater Toronto Area for the last 12 years. Currently, Zoran is an Employee Committee Representative at Apotex, representing the interests and promoting the health and well being of more than 200 employees at the company. Previously, Zoran sat on the Board of Directors for a Community Recreational League (1999-2001), in an effort to improve the access to sports for people in his community.

Zoran and his family are highly engaged in their efforts to be environmentally conscious, and they have gone to great lengths to improve their home in an effort to reduce their carbon footprint. They take great pride in the improvements of their neighbourhood parks and streets and are active participants in their local neighborhoods yearly street festival.
